K-Tower nominated for building of the year

The K-Tower, completed four years ago on the Diksmuidekaai in Kortrijk, was named “Building of the Year” by the international architecture website ArchDaily. The 66.49 meter high tower, which has 65 apartments, was designed by Philippe Samyn and Partners – Architecture and Engineering.

A unique feature of this building is its beautiful façade. The cladding consists of a combination of white, reflective and mirrored veneer. Thus, the residential tower blends perfectly with the environment. In addition, the metal terraces with hardwood flooring and perforated sheet metal parapets give the building a striking character. The terraces are therefore a unique feature of the new tower. They are spacious and distributed on each floor so that all residents can enjoy a breathtaking view and the best possible light and visibility at all times.
